A Royal Bridgerton Elopement at the Providence Cotton Mill

Marissa Rice Weddings & Events designed a breathtaking inspiration held at the Providence Cotton Mill. Rich in history and unique in detail, this venue set the stage for an enchanting look at the Victorian world. PS Floral Designs created an elegant countryside look with their stunning arrangements, Evermore Rentals provided an exquisite table scape and fine china, and Cake Expressions by Lisa made one of the most beautiful cakes we’ve ever featured!

And we love what Sydney of Radiant Photography, had to say about the event…

“As ‘covid-19’ decreased guest sizes over the last year and a half, brides have opportunity to splurge in other wedding day details. Perhaps they want to bring their favorite tv shows to life! Many are familiar with the tv series, ‘Bridgerton,’ and viewers are still swooning as it continues to have a big fan base. I’ve always loved the dazzling, grand aesthetic from the Victorian/Edwardian era, so I was excited about this styled elopement! There’s something so classy, romantic, and timeless about this particular style we’re calling ‘royal core.’ In this Bridgerton inspired wedding day, you’ll find the prettiest little treats, two state of the art cakes, a mouthwatering charcuterie spread, a champagne bar ON A DRESS, and the Queen herself.

Our couple was adorable together as they ‘promenaded’ about the grounds of the historic, 130 year old Providence Cotton Mill. Located in Maiden, North Carolina, this venue gives you an old-world charm feel. Our ‘Daphne’ bride, Tess, looked lovely in not one, but two stunning gowns full of texture and lace. Jeremy, the ‘Duke,’,was quite dapper in his entire regal suit from head to toe. I love the pops of lavender and soft pinks as they allude to the hanging wisteria seen throughout the tv series. Even the cake features a paved floral path that the couple met in. Keeping in step with the theme, we had the current ‘report’ from ‘Lady Whistledown’ as she raved about the bride being the rare ‘season’s diamond.’ One of the neatest elements I got to photograph to date was a lovely entertainer wearing a champagne bar on her skirt! This may have been something found amongst the extravagant balls and parties back in this era, but I’d say it’s fun enough to be a current wedding/event trend for today! This elopement wouldn’t be complete without having ‘Queen Charlotte’ attend as the prime guest as she approves the nuptials between the couple. The queen was gracefully adorned in her eye catching red, her jewels, and her show stopping crown. This elopement was unforgettably themed and so much fun!”
